A simple barometer widget that shows the current air pressure and displays a weather forecast. While many apps get the data from the Internet this widget uses only the built-in sensor of your phone! This means NO Internet and NO permissions are required by the app.
“A barometer is a scientific instrument used in meteorology to measure atmospheric pressure. Pressure tendency can forecast short term changes in the weather.“ [Wikipedia]
You can buy a barometer, build one yourself, or just use you phone. Yes, many smartphones have a barometer that you can use for a personal weather forecast.
This widget uses the internal barometer of the phone and shows you the current air pressure. In addition, it tells you the outlook and how the weather is going to change. Usually low pressure means the weather is getting worse and high pressure means the weather will be good.
This app requires NO permissions, NO Internet connection, and takes almost no power because it just depends on the internal barometer sensor of you phone. The accuracy of the forecast also entirely depends on the accuracy of your phone’s barometer.
If you cannot install this weather forecast widget, your phone most likely does not have a barometer.
